  • Optimal charging profile: provides the correct charging profile (charge voltage and current) to safely charge your Rebelcell 24V battery.
  • Starter battery discharge protection: The RE monitors the voltage in the starter battery and will only allow charging of the 24V battery after charging the starter battery (ON: voltage starter battery > 13.2V. OFF: voltage < 12.8V). This ensures that the starter battery is not accidentally discharged.
  • Overcharge protection: will automatically adjust the alternator output charge current to avoid overcharging of your battery.
  • Temperature protection: the ‘dynamic thermal output control’ limits the charge current to reduce the temperature.
  • Short circuit and reverse polarity protection: automatic shutdown with short circuit. Reverse polarity protection on input.
  • Charge indicator: if the LED on the Range Extender is 'ON' your battery is being charged.
  • Warranty: two years.

  • 1The Range Extender is only suitable for use with (outboard) engines that meet the minimum alternator output requirements as indicated before. It is not suitable for use with (outboard) engines that use a charging coil instead of an alternator: the capacity is not sufficient to charge both the starter battery and Rebelcell battery. Consult the manual of your (outboard) engine for this information. Lower than specified charge current from the alternator will lead to de-activation of the Range Extender to avoid discharge of the starter battery.
  • 2The Range Extender works with both lead-acid and LiFePO4 starter batteries (note: minimum capacity of LiFePO4 battery is 50A).
  • 3Mount the Range Extender in accordance with the installation guidelines in a dry and cool place with sufficient space around for ventilation and cooling. Never mount it on the bottom of your boat or in a location that does not remain dry.
  • 4Only use the Range Extender to charge Rebelcell 24V batteries. Using it with a different battery can lead to irreversible damage to your equipment and battery. This damage is explicitly excluded from warranty.
  • 5Additional cables (not included) are required to connect the Range Extender to the starter battery. For specifications please see the Installation guidelines in the user manual and consult a certified electrician if you have any questions about installation.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION REBELCELL RANGE EXTENDER 29.4V20A WATERPROOF

The waterproof (IP65) Range Extender 29.4V20A  allows you to extend your fishing day by recharging your Rebelcell 24V AV battery ‘on the go’ via the alternator of your outboard engine. The Range Extender is easy to install thanks to its compact size and weight and suitable for permanent fixing in your boat. It delivers an output 29.4V and max 20A.

The Range Extender continuously monitors the voltage in the starter battery to prevent accidental discharge, limits the alternator output current if necessary, and provides the correct charging profile (voltage, current) to safely charge your 24V battery. Thanks to the built-in LED indicator, you can easily see if your battery is charging. This Range Extender model can be used with all well-known outboard brands such as Honda, Yamaha, Mercury and Suzuki (note: the alternator of the outboard engine needs to deliver a minimum output of 45A, otherwise the Range Extender will not work!)

Note: This Range Extender (29.4V20A) is only suitable for use with the Rebelcell  24V  batteries. Check our webshop for applicable models for 12V and 36V Range Extenders.
