Compatible with: (outboard) engines with 12V alternator with at least 17A charge current. Works with both lead-acid and LiFePO4 starter batteries (minimum capacity of LiFePO4 battery is 50A). Compatible with all known brands (e.g. Honda, Mercury, Yamaha, Suzuki etc.).

Optimal charging profile: provides the correct charging profile (charge voltage and current) to safely charge your Rebelcell 24V li-ion battery.

Starter battery discharge protection: The RE monitors the voltage in the starter battery and will only start charging if voltage starter battery is above 13.2V and stops if voltage drops below 12.8V.

Overcharge protection: will automatically adjust the alternator output charge current to avoid overcharging of your battery.

Temperature protection: the ‘dynamic thermal output control’ limits the charge current to reduce the temperature.

Short circuit protection: automatic shutdown with short circuit.

Charge indicator: LED indicator shows RE status (active/ not active).

Warranty: two years.

1The Range Extender is only suitable for use with (outboard) engines that meet the minimum alternator output requirements as indicated before. It is NOT suitable for use with (outboard) engines that use a charging coil instead of an alternator: the capacity is not sufficient to charge both the starter battery and Rebelcell battery. Consult the manual of your (outboard) engine for this information. Lower than specified charge current from the alternator will lead to de-activation of the Range Extender to avoid discharge of the starter battery.
2The Range Extender works with both lead-acid and LiFePO4 starter batteries (attention: minimum requirements for LiFePO4 battery capacity is 50A).
3Mount the Range Extender in accordance with the installation guidelines (in user manual) in a dry and cool place with sufficient space around for ventilation and cooling. Never mount it on the bottom of your boat or in a location that does not remain dry.
4Only use the Range Extender with Rebelcell 24V li-ion batteries! Using it with a different battery can lead to irreversible damage to your equipment and battery. This damage is explicitly excluded from warranty.
5Additional connectors (not included) for the input cable are required to connect the Range Extender to the starter battery. For specifications please see the Installation guidelines in the user manual and consult a certified electrician if you have any questions about installation.
